From the car park near the bridge over the River Sarca turn right through the old town centre of Arco. The path then goes towards the village of San Giorgio, almost as far as Rione Degasperi, along the network of country roads through the sunny vineyards and orchards to the right of the S.S. 45bis; from here, turn left towards the hamlet of S.Alessandro and the broad, comfortable road, protected by a cycling path, which leads straight to Porto San Nicolò at Riva del Garda, just a few metres from the lake. The new panoramic cycling path overhanging the lake crosses the beach at the mouth of the Sarca and skirts the river for about 200 metres, before coming to the S.S. 240 which follows for a brief stretch as far as the centre of Torbole. From Piazza Vittorio Veneto, near the little harbour, an uphill path paved in porphyry leads up, around the base of the cliff dominated by the ruins of Castel Penede, as far as the village of Nago. From here the path descends for about 200 metres as far as the “Marmitte dei Giganti” (The Giants’Potholes), huge, natural glacier wells. Here the Prealta path begins, a suggestive panoramic dirt track which leads to Pratosaiano, after which Arco is just 2 km away.

750. Marocche - Fixed rope route+ INFO (GPX KML)Duration: h 3:16Distance: 28,8Ascent: 283

From the bridge in Arco the path follows the right side of the river and the high cliff of the castle. The first stretch of the path, which is surfaced, passed through Prabi where it is worthwhile paying a visit to the old church of Saint Apollonaire and The Retreat of San Paolo. After passing by the Roman bridge on the right at Ceniga, the path becomes rougher, but never demanding, before finally arriving at the “Ciclamino” motor-cross circuit at Pietramurata. Worthy of note are the smooth rock face of Monte Brento and the “Parete Zebrata” (zebra rock face), both highly popular as rock faces for traditional climbing practice.
After crossing the state road, from the centre of Pietramurata the return path follows a dirt track along the opposite side of the River Sarca, skirting the Marocche Biotope, a rocky post ice-age desert. After a brief stretch on surfaced road, following the old provincial road through the village of Dro in a southerly direction, there is a junction with the Gardesana Occidentale (S.S. 45bis) where the new cycling path along the River Sarca begins on the right and leads back to the departure point.

DH Val del Diaol - Downhill+ INFO (GPX KML)Duration: h 0:11Distance: 3,5Ascent: 0

VALLE DEL DIAOL”: a legend, pure adrenaline, a challenge with yourself. The beginning of the path is just above Nago, a few hundred metres after Malga Casina. 6,5 breathtaking kms to practice with the proper protective gear, full face helmet and gloves, on a mixed terrain, sometimes compact and fast, sometimes full of stones, smooth faces and rocks, which will test your balance. The descent ends in the industrial estate of Nago: from there you cross the fields to reach the centre of the town and then down to Torbole sul Garda.

Pier Paolo “Pippo ” Marani
Tracker of Downhill World Championship Val di Sole, his comment on this track:
"The Val del Diaol track is really one of a kind: here, you have to know
how to ride your bike. You have to be fluent, if you want to make your
way on the rocks. The downhill is physical, hard, wild: if you want to
tame it, you have to attack it from the beginning to the end."

A long, less technical route kind of route, rideable throughout the year. It is very interesting from a landscape and cultural perspective.

The Garda Sarca loop was the first route for mountain bikers and hikers created by the Garda Trentino tourism company. Opened in 2011, it precedes the new provincial legislation which regulates the paths. This is the reason why the 731 route signs differ from the newer route signage in the area. The tour involves a good part of the Valle del Basso Sarca (the low Sarca valley) and for the distance of almost 60 km, the ascents and descents vary considerably. The distance and altitude difference make this route undoubtedly demanding. From a technical point of view, apart from a few short sections with rough and sometimes loose terrain, there are no particular difficulties. Both uphill and downhill, a gradient of 20% is reached, mostly on asphalt and in forested areas. If it has rained the terrain may be slippery, especially on the sections of cement.

In a single itinerary, you can enjoy the great variety of landscapes and trails that Garda Trentino has to offer! From the shores of the famous Lake Garda to the hidden gems of the surrounding areas.

La pista ciclabile Torbole sul Garda - Sarche + INFO (GPX KML)Duration: h 1:55Distance: 24,9Ascent: 223

The Torbole-Sarche pedestrian and cycle path is one of the best-loved trails in Garda Trentino. An easy route through natural surroundings it is perfect for a relaxing bicycle trip

The Torbole - Sarche cycle path follows the River Sarca upstream, linking the lake shore with the Sarca Valley. For mountain bike lovers, it is the best way to get to the start of the many mtb tours and for all the others it is a lovely itinerary without any hazards.
But watch out, this trail is also very popular with walkers and runners, making it the busiest cycle path in Trentino.

The beauty of the landscape, the mild climate which means the cycle path is open all year round, and the fact that it allows you to get from one town in Garda Trentino to another in total safety are just some of the reasons why you can't afford to miss this trail.

Along the way you can take short detours to visit a number of different attractions, points of interest, producers and restaurants who will win you over with the flavours of the upper lake. It's an excellent way to discover the history and traditions of Garda Trentino!

The shortest route of the famous Bike Marathon, part of the Riva del Garda Bike Festival is aimed at well prepared cyclists or e-bikers who enjoy climbing.

Although it is the shortest route of the "Garda Trentino Bike Marathon", the elevation profile certainly makes up for it. The climbs are considerable reaching over 20% in some sections. The terrain varies quite frequently: from asphalt and concrete to forest roads and gravel sections. You will find a little bit of everything!
Regarding the race start and finish points the first section takes you along the main road between Riva and Arco, towards Varignano. There are a couple of options to avoid this however by following the signposted routes 749 (starting from Riva or Torbole) OR route 745 (starting from Arco instead). As described, the climbs and descents are very demanding and the type of terrain must always be taken in to consideration.
