Located in Riva del Garda,
where the blue waters of Lake Garda, the sunshine which reflects
upon the waves, and the air, pure and oxygenated from the
surrounding mountains, offer the pleasure of a unique holiday
spiced with a thousand ingredients. The Residence
Trieste is positioned in one of the oldest and most
characteristic streets of the historic centre in a typical
tourist town in the province of Trento. Its family-run environment
will provide you with a holiday in a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere
certain to make you feel at home.

The residence has been property of the Bleggi
family since 1961. It began as a 15 room hotel and
a 46 seat restaurant. During the mid 1980s various types of
pizzas, cooked in baking-tins in an electric oven, were introduced
to the menu. In 1991, the Pizzeria-Restaurant-Residence-Trieste
was established and as a result 8 studio and one bedroom apartments
were created. Some of the apartments overlook ‘Via Fiume’,
a street which is busy by day but peaceful by night. ‘Via
Fiume’ has an array of artisan and boutique shops. The
other apartments have a view of Mount Rocchetta, the mountain
which towers above Riva del Garda. Also at this time, the
old restaurant was expanded to 110 seats, and a wood burning
oven was installed, from which today roughly fifty delicious
pizzas made from dough rigorously kneaded by hand can be enjoyed.
Only 80 metres away from the residence, the harbour can be
found, from which ferries and boats depart every hour and
can be taken to visit the other towns around Lake Garda. The
harbour is flanked by the elegant Piazza III Novembre, with
buildings constructed in the Lombard-Venetian style. Also
in this square there is the Apponale Tower, the symbol of
Riva. Further along the lakeside you will find the Rocca
(currently the home of the civic museum). The Rocca
has defended the coastline of Riva del Garda since 1124 and
it is surrounded by a moat and connected to the streets of
Riva by a drawbridge. The Rocca is also surrounded by colourful
gardens, making it a veritable theatre for enjoyable walks.
If you continue along the lakeside the bathing area begins,
for bathers and surfers alike, with ample, long beaches. Looking
up you cannot but help but see the majestic mountain, whose
reflection is caught in the waters of the lake, and whose
colour changes with the light of day. Climbing the mountain
by means of a footpath, you can reach, first, the Bastione
(Venetian fortress), and then, the small chapel of
Santa Barbara, from which it is possible to admire
the splendour of the lake and the upper part of Lake Garda.
